Has anyone noticed cognitive benefits from creatine?

E

I started taking 5g creatine monohydrate daily primarily for muscle preservation. Unexpected benefit: I feel noticeably sharper, especially in the afternoons when I usually hit a slump. The research on creatine and brain function is actually quite solid — the brain is highly energy-dependent and creatine supports ATP recycling. Anyone else notice this?

Yes! Creatine is criminally underrated for brain health. The studies in vegetarians show the most dramatic cognitive improvements, likely because their baseline brain creatine is lower.

At 5g/day it's one of the safest and most well-studied supplements available. The longevity community should talk about it more.

I take it daily and my wife noticed I'm less irritable in the evenings. Could be placebo but the mechanism is plausible.
