Wearable data analysis: what my Oura ring taught me about aging

D

After 18 months of continuous Oura data, I've identified some fascinating patterns. My HRV is strongly correlated with alcohol consumption (even one drink drops it 15%), evening screen time (blue light = worse deep sleep), and training load. The most actionable insight: consistency matters more than optimization. Regular sleep times beat perfect sleep hygiene.

The alcohol/HRV relationship is so consistent it's almost useful as a biomarker. One glass of wine = 12-20% HRV drop for me without exception.

Have you tried correlating your Oura data with bloodwork? I found that my resting heart rate trends predict my fasting glucose pretty well.

I'm curious about the "consistency over optimization" finding. Does that mean going to bed at 10pm consistently beats going to bed at 9pm inconsistently?
